Belated: Other Exchanges & Comment Bingo & Exchange Survey
If you liked Yuletide, you might like...
Yuletide is one of a tonne of similar fandom events run throughout the year.
Maybe you have a challenge, exchange, Big Bang, fest, or other event you love - tell people about it in the comments!
Maybe you have an idea for a challenge, exchange, Big Bang, fest, etc, etc - brainstorm it in the comments!
Maybe you have only ever done Yuletide and want to try similar things - ask for recommendations, or look in the comments!
Comment Bingo
Yuletide is over for the year, but the stories remain.
Personally, I always want to comment more throughout the year, but have trouble sticking to my goals (and am easily distracted by the nextexchange shiny thing). The following comment bingo is for me, for people who feel a similar way, and for people who liked the concept last time.
If you already comment on fanworks as much as you want to, then good on you - this will not be relevant to everyone.
But if you want to comment more, maybe this will be a fun way of increasing motivation & accountability.
1. Go to An Owomoyela's bingo generator
2. Input the following list:
3. Create a bingo card!
3a. Adjust it if you don't like it, or adjust the list!
4. Copy the HTML provided for your bingo card. Save or post it somewhere and work towards filling it.
The list is biased towards commenting on fic, and specifically, Yuletide fic. Please take it as a starting point, and customize it however you like! If you want to comment on specific pairings, or focus more on podfic or fanvids, or weight the bingo card towards different exchanges - go ahead. There isn't a wrong way to play (except maybe commenting on works you dislike for the sole purpose of fulfilling the challenge).
Example: Comment on....
[If the phrase doesn't make sense with 'Comment on' tacked on the front, then it is meant to make sense on its own.]

a fic from Yuletide 2013 | make the first comment on a work | a fic with a ship other than f/m or m/m or f/f | a fic in a fandom you might request this year | comment in an exchange that isn't Yuletide |

The Dreamwidth community Fandom Calendar is a great place to keep an eye on upcoming exchanges.
New exchanges are often discussed at the Yuletide Discord (invite link).
This is a bit of a tease because the sign-ups are closing in 20 minutes, but the Worldbuilding Exchange has a lot of tasty prompts and I'm sure I am not the only one contemplating treating or pinch hitting.

More relevant to Yuletide's interests, is my annual commentfest, Obscure & British - for British fandoms of all kinds (ranging from non-existent to medium-sized, just not mega-fandoms or US/other fandoms except in crossover prompts). I didn't run it last year, but I will this year. It's very laid back, but usually fun and a way to find some fellow fans of rare fandoms. (Last time's was here, although it will run on Dreamwidth this time.)
In exchanges I'd love to see, chiefly I'd really love to see Invisible Ficathon return in some form or other.
Excellent timing!
Noms open on the 31st! Here's this year's nominations instructions post. It can be a lot to take in all at once if you're new to exchanges, but hopefully a second read-through will clarify.
